Designed by Mario Trimarchi for Alessi, the Ossidiana Espresso Maker plays on the concept of the bubbling of a brewing espresso pot to that of a volcano. The sides of the Ossidiana isrelated to the image of hewn obsidian, or volcanic glass.

Winner of the Compasso D’Oro, Italy’s top Design Prize.
